Calculator
Scent of Death
My Approach
My Approach
Following the creation of the music player app, wanted a more complex challenge and decided to develop a calculator app inspired by the stock Android calculator.
My Approach
Vision and Innovation
My Approach
The vision for the "Android Style Calculator" was straightforward: users would input values through button entries.
The app would perform calculations and display the current performed calculation history.
My Approach
Resolving Complex Problems
My Approach
One of the primary challenges that consumed a significant amount of development time was implementing the BODMAS (Brackets, Order, Division, Multiplication, Addition, Subtraction) rule.
Notably, even the iPhone's calculator lacked this feature.
However, was determined to include it and, after numerous trials and errors, was successful.
My Approach
Identifying Unique Challenges
My Approach
At first glance, it seemed simple, but presenting the calculation history after its execution or editing posed an unexpected challenge.
Achieving a seamless display of the calculation history was more complex than anticipated.
My Approach
User-Centric Design
My Approach
The app featured compact buttons, designed for convenient one-handed use.
Simplicity was a key focus, aiming to offer users an uncomplicated and user-friendly calculator experience.
My Approach
Meeting User Needs
My Approach
The app was thoughtfully designed with proper anchors to ensure that UI elements remained within the screen boundaries on devices with various resolutions.
Additionally, it was developed to be compatible with most Android versions available in the current market.
