After learning the basics in Android Studio by making simple apps like a music player, SQL app, and calculator, was eager to dive into something more captivating.
That's when the idea to recreate the childhood game "Guess the Movie!" sparked my interest.

My Approach

The vision was to offer 2 distinct modes: one for guessing Bollywood movies and another for Hollywood.
Players could challenge the AI or team up with another player in a cooperative 2-player mode.
In the co-op, one player would provide the movie while the other guessed it.
The game was designed to challenge players to guess the movie title based on the character length of 'Bollywood' or 'Hollywood' which is 8.
Players received hints in the form of displayed vowels, while other characters remained concealed as blank spaces.

One of the unique challenges we encountered was related to maintaining the positioning of anchors and default UI elements across various mobile resolutions. It was crucial to ensure that UI elements didn't shift out of place.
Additionally, we wanted the app's resolution to adjust when the keyboard appeared, providing a user-friendly experience.
